MAGGIE
HAMILTON
Maggie Hamilton lives in
the inner city area of Sydney and worked for key publishers for the
last two decades. Now Maggie devotes her time to writing and teaching.
She has written a number of books for children, including The
Lost Kingdom of Lantia, My Secret Diary and Mister
Eternity (an adventure story involving the mysterious Arthur
Stace who went around writing on the pavements.) She has stories published
in The Road to Camelot, and 30 Australian Stories
for Children. Her newest titles for children are Magic
Tricks and Very Tricky. Maggie has a Masters
in English and is a qualified drama teacher.

Maggie is
a great believer in the need for magic and dreams in the face
of the perceived hopelessness of the modern world. In her sessions
for students she aims to stimulate interest in words, in ideas
and in ways of seeing. She combines her academic, creative and
theatrical interests to offer dynamic talks and workshops. Maggie's
recent 'adult' publications include Love Your Work – Reclaim
Your Life, Coming Home, What
Men Don’t Talk About, and What's Happening to our Girls? What's Happening to Our Boys is due for publication in mid 2010.
